KUALA LUMPUR – Ctrack Asia Sdn. Bhd. (Ctrack Asia), a DigiCore Group company, played host to the first training event for resellers, distributors and partners within the Asian region. Training was attended by Silver Ridge Technologies (Malaysia), Lavinta Buana Sakti (Indonesia), Global-Tec (Singapore) and CSE Multimedia (Malaysia) which was conducted from February 7-11. Training was conducted by the DigiCore Product Support (DPS) team including Morne Combrink (Product Support Manager), Daniel Myburgh (Senior Technical Writer / Trainer) and George Bell (Software Support Engineer).
Omar Hatmi (Managing Director, Ctrack Asia) together with Mr. Morne Combrink (Product Support Manager, DigiCore) briefed the participants on the purpose and event which will become an annual event. Ctrack Asia Helpdesk was also launched at the event which will work directly with DPS in South Africa and provide support to the region. Morne continued by introducing the DPS training team followed by the purpose and overview of the training seminar. |
| The training was conducted on ‘train the train’ format as participants are required to return to their organizations and share the knowledge and train additional users and customers. Emphasis was on orientation of Ctrack MaXx and Online and items such as installation, configuration of the database, features, system troubleshooting and SQL script writing. Q&A was encouraged which clearly helped in clearing many doubts the participants had before this training. The knowledge and confidence gained in Ctrack MaXx and Online after the training will surely benefit the customers and distributors managed by the participants. |
Awards were distributed amongst the participants at the end of the training followed by a diner. Next training scheduled is for ‘Quality Installations’ planned for April 2011 |

The company’s latest product is an upgraded version of the previous GPS system called C-Track 5.
Speaking at a Press conference during the launch of the new product, Silver Ridge’s Datuk Md Alwi Che Ahmad said C-Track 6 offers a combination of two essential features, which makes it even more reliable and convenient.
“The latest GPS system that we are marketing now is a combination of anti-theft and fleet tracking. It’s useful
and user-friendly. Users can now feel more secure of their vehicles and their journey to their destinations. One of the greatest things about it is we will update the maps on a regular basis. So you can imagine how convenient it is,” he said.
Manager of Digicore International, Jose Marsal told the Press that with the latest C-Track 6, it will keep a watchful eye on users’ fleet.
“C-Track GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management systems are really reliable. The systems are integrated with the latest technology in mobile communications, such as Global System for Mobile communications (GSM), General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Satellite Communication, and GPS. The new product provides a holistic solution for its users,” he said.
