Palm Oil

Overview

palm“Malaysia is well known as the biggest exporter of Palm Oil in the world”

“Malaysia required more than 1000 tankers daily to  transport the Palm Oil”

” In 2009, losses due to Palm Oil Pilferage is estimated at RM325 Millions with an increase in the number of Hot Spots throughout the region “

Base on this, C-track Malaysia in collaboration with key palm oil industry player such as Sime Darby, MPOA and MPOB have developed specific solutions to address the following issues:

  • Monitor all the Hot Spots areas in Real Time
  • Prevention of Palm Oil Siphoning using fibre optic sensors
  • Real Time Monitoring of the palm oil during transportation
  • Improve fleet productivity
  • Improve driver behaviour and reduce accident

The C-track system has been specifically developed for the Malaysian Government, Transporter, Manufacturer, Oil Refiners and Plantation company. The C-track unit will be able to Alert upon reaching a Hot Spot Area and notify in Real Time to any authorized mobile number to prevent the siphoning of Palm Oil from taking place. Sensors can also be fitted to valves or doors to alert to any exception or wrong doing by the driver or other third party.

Increased Security and Safety

Duress Alarm:
C-track utilizes a range of different duress alarm types, ranging from a simple button on the dashboard to a pendant ccaround the neck of the driver that triggers as soon as it goes to a horizontal position. We also use security type button that has to be pushed every 5 minutes to ensure that everything is still ok.

In case of Hijacking, C track Malaysia will receive an Alerts and linked to our 24 x 7 Control Center for further action.

Input monitoring:
A lot of transport operators transport valuable or sensitive goods, which need to be monitored and protected 24/7. The C-track Solo system has 12 inputs and 3 outputs which can be used to monitor a range of exceptions. Examples of this includes Trailer connected, Trailer Door Open / Closed, Driver Door open, PTO in use, Jack-knife Alarm, Driver Fatigue Alarm, Exhaust Brake in use, and many more…

Immobilization:
The C-track system does not allow the vehicle to be started without the presentation of an authorized Driver ID key (if this facility is required). This can be overridden from the base for in case the driver has forgotten his Driver ID tag. You can also temporarily disable a trailer / truck completely if you know that it is not to be used for a while, or if it has been stolen. The system shuts the vehicle down by falsely creating a fault in the engine management system which in turn safely limits the engine to idle speeds until it is overridden back at the office.

Geo-fencing:
The C-track system uses 3 types of Geo-fences. These are Preferred Areas, No-Go Zones and Waypoints.map

Preferred Areas can be used to control where a vehicle is allowed to operate. For example if a vehicle is only allowed to operate within a particular region /Plantation Area and is never allowed to leave the site, you can create an area all the way around the site which will alarm if the vehicle exits the area.

No-Go Areas will be able to monitor when a vehicle enters an illegal area, for example a Hot Spot Area can be notified by SMS upon violation. All the Hot Spot Area can be map out in the Map and monitored in regular basis within a control room

Waypoints are used to monitor the time spent within a specific zone. View and Manage vehicle which have Enter, Leaving and Stop Duration on each set waypoints.

Route and Scheduling:

We realize the cause of the Accident or Hijack is due to Driver which off map2Route from the original route that has been planned. In Palm Oil Industry, early Alerts may prevent and reduce the Oil Siphoning Issues.

Therefore, Fleet Owners routes can be defined, stored on disk and allocated to a mobile to check for off-route conditions. Should a vehicle deviate from such a route by more than the specified tolerance, an off route alarm is generated and the operator alerted. Routes can be entered using the mouse or by converting existing replay (historical) information to a route. Routes are monitored as the movement information arrives from the vehicle

Information such as KM Driven, ETA, ETD and Stop duration can be easily accessible from the Reports.

Outback Coverage

C-track’s ability to use multiple communication devices gives it the ability to operate in the most remote areas whilst still having peace of mind that you are protected. The most common combination is Sat-modem and Mobile phone modem. This enables the unit to report in real-time whilst in phone coverage, and switch to Satellite phone when it runs out of coverage. The system only transmits exceptions and alerts via satellite, thereby keeping transmission costs to a minimum. C-track also has the capability of using Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth and Radio based networks, which allows you to create the perfect combination of functionality versus cost for your business.

“CPO companies that has their plantains and mills located in areas with moderate GSM reception are recommended to opt for the C-track HYBRID fleet management system”
